Welcome to The Happy Trails BBQ Shack NS

We are a mobile wood-fired BBQ catering wagon, equipped with a reverse-flow Smoker, Santa Maria grill, and Pizza oven. Our goal is to try to provide the stickiest, sweet and spicy bbq(chicken, ribs, pork), with some southern side dishes(smoked potato salad, Mac and cheese, jalepeno cornbread). This will also transfer over to our pizza section for some interesting combinations(bbq chicken, pulled pork, etc.). Our wagon will be open to the public and also available for hire to cater to large or private events.

About Us

Owner/ Chef Mark Henderson has been involved in the cooking industry for the last 35+ years honing his skills in fine dining, restaurants, taverns, greasy spoons, pizza joints, etc. The Happy Trails BBQ Shack was opened to honour the old West Chuck Wagons from the past.
